Hongkong Protocol on Quarantine Arrangement for Visiting Vessels as of 14 July 2020.

Currently, subject to the conditions listed in the “Updated Summary Table of Quarantine Arrangement for Visiting Vessels” (annex), the crew members of goods vessels and passenger ships will be exempted from compulsory quarantine under the Compulsory Quarantine of Certain Persons Arriving at Hong Kong Regulation (Cap 599C) and Compulsory Quarantine of Persons Arriving at Hong Kong from Foreign Places Regulation (Cap 599E).

We would like to draw your attention to the exemption conditions and urge you to remind your crew members to strictly comply with the conditions. In particular, the incoming crew members should only arrive Hong Kong when their vessels are berthed in Hong Kong and should get onboard immediately upon arrival. If there is a genuine need for them to stay in Hong Kong whilst awaiting to board, the shipping companies/agents should arrange them in an accommodation for self-isolation and crew members should not go to public places until getting onboard to minimize contact with the local community. Moreover, they shall observe strict personal hygiene at all times,

wear a surgical mask and observe other conditions listed in the Summary Table.
