Netherlands Crew Change - Lockdown Effective from 15 December 2020 until 19 Jan 2021 (subject to change)



Herewith are some update regarding the lockdown in the Netherlands which will be effective from 15 December 2020 until 19 January 2021 (subject to change).


Due to increasing numbers of new infections, our government has taken the decision to conduct total lockdown for a period of 5 weeks.


Herewith is the official announcement along with the updated manual to be followed.


Apart from the Netherlands, kindly be informed that German government has taken the same decision, however, their lockdown will end around 10th January 2021.


Crew change wise, it is important to check the part concerning Covid19 test. In addition, concerning the accommodations, hotels will be open, however, the restaurant will be closed.





Compulsory negative COVID-19 test result and declaration

Travellers from a country not on the European Union’s list of low-risk countries and who are exempt from the EU entry ban for the Netherlands must be able to present a negative COVID-19 test result and declaration when travelling to the Netherlands by air or ship. This is one of the measures being taken by the Netherlands to combat the importation and spread of coronavirus. It does not apply to nationals of EU/Schengen countries, including the Netherlands. Passengers must show their negative test result and declaration to the airline or ship operator and to the Dutch Royal Military and Border Police. Passengers must carry these documents with them for the duration of their journey.
