CULTURAL IDENTITY & COFFEE: WE ARE WHAT WE DRINK!

We say that for us here at the Manila Coffee Festival, coffee is more than just a commodity but, a part of our cultural identity which we commit to sustain.

Manila Coffee Festival acknowledges the important role that (our) coffee plays in preserving cultural identity. In some ways, coffee defines our culture because after all, we are what we drink!

Taking on this sense of responsibility upon us, Manila Coffee Festival continuously focus on the manner in which consumers enjoy coffee, including sharing stories of everything-coffee from our local coffee origins, the communities, how local beans are grown, harvested, processed, roasted, the people who farm local coffees, to who prepares, and serves it.

They aim for consumers to affiliate their local coffee experience with warm, good feelings, and memories. In the process, we hope to make connections between consumers and our local coffee heritage, and how coffee might come to have new social meaning to people.

Coffee enthusiasts and consumers can help sustain our unique cultural identity with every local coffee purchase they make!
