Garuda Indonesia (GA Airlines) - Passenger Guidelines Before Flight - Indonesian Government Passenger Regulations To Prevent COVID-19




Garuda Indonesia fully supports the implementation of the Government Regulations to prevent the spread of COVID-19, therefore before your flight: 


Referring to Government/Authority regulation, we require each passenger to complete the following documents: 

A.      Health Certificate (COVID-19 Free Result) 

  • Domestic Flight 
    • PCR Test with NEGATIVE resultsorRapid Test with NON-REACTIVE results, with avalidity period 14 daysat maximum upon departure; 
    • For areas that do not have facilities to conduct Rapid Test / PCR Test, please provide symptom-free certificate such as influenza issued by a hospital / community health centre doctors. 
    • For some destinations other additional / special requirements apply, detailed information in the table below. 
    • Electronic Health Alert Card 

For those of you flying domestic flights within Indonesia are required to fill a Health Alert Card from the Indonesian Ministry of Health via E-HAC (Electronic Health Alert Card) that can be accessed on:

  • International Flight (from other country to Indonesia) 
    • In accordance with government / authority regulations as explained in the table below 
    • PCR Test in Bahasa or English with NEGATIVE results with avalidity period 7 daysat maximum since published by health facilities. 

      (Passengers with flight transiting in Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK)) who cannot provide a negative PCR/Swab test result, will be allowed to fly from the origin country to enter Indonesia. However, upon arrival at CGK airport, the passenger must go through a PCR/Swab test & quarantine procedure by the local authority until a negative PCR result is issued before continuing their journey. B.      Domestic Travel Requirement Table 

Every person is eligible to travel as long as fulfilling the Health Certificate with a COVID-19 free result andthe required documents referring to the origin/destination policy on the following table.

  • Passengers who are unable to show a valid COVID-19-free Certificate are obliged to take a PCR-based swab test or rapid test in Bali 

To/From DJJ 


 

Flight To DJJ: 

  • ID issued outside Papua: must include negative PCR/Swab test result 
  • ID issued in Papua (KTP/Family Card/Certificate of Domicile/Letter of Employment in Papua): must include non-reactive/negative Rapid/PCR/Swab test from a health facility and related ID/Letter 

Flight From DJJ: 

  • ID issued outside Papua: must include statement letter of not returning to Papua within 1 year (duty stamped) 

To TIM 

 

 

If the Passenger does not bring a COVID-19 free certificate / COVID-19 free letter has expired / COVID-19 free letter signed by a General Doctor without specifying a License Letter for Practice (SIP) or NIP for Government Doctors / Passengers having a history of COVID-19  symptoms (fever / cough / runny nose) during the last 14 days then on arrival in the Mimika Regency must undergo a repeat Rapid Test at the arrival terminal by Timika KKP officers at a cost of Rp. 600,000 / person with the cost borne by the passenger. If proven to be reactive, they will be isolated in a place provided by the Mimika Regency Government and scheduled to conduct a Swab / PCR test at its own expense, if positive COVID-19 maintenance costs are the responsibility of the Government.

  • Endorsement letter from the agency for those traveling on a business

To/from BIK 


 

 Flight to BIK: 

  • ID issued outside Papua: must include negative PCR/Swab test result 
  • ID issued in Papua (KTP/Family Card/Certificate of Domicile/Letter of Employment in Papua): must include non-reactive/negative Rapid/PCR/Swab test from a health facility and related ID/Letter 

 

Flight from BIK, Only Rapid Test results from one of referred hospitals by the Biak Government will be accepted: 

  • Indonesian Navy Hospital 
  • Indonesian Air Force Hospital 
  • Biak Numfor Police Clinic 
  • Health Facilities at Frans Kaisiepo Biar Airport 

Within / Intra NTT Region 

- 

Not required to enclose rapid test or PCR/Swab Test result, but required to fill a Health Alert Card from the Indonesian Ministry of Health via E-HAC application (Electronic Health Alert Card) [link below]. 

To SOQ 

 

 

  • ID issued in Papua & Papua Barat and government employees/Indonesia Army Force/Indonesian Police with assignment letter at Sorong: must include non-reactive/negative Rapid/PCR/Swab test from a health facility and related ID/Letter 
  • ID issued outside Papua & Papua Barat: must include negative PCR/Swab test result (except for government employees/Indonesia Army Force/Indonesian Police with assignment letter at Sorong and/or Transit Passenger) 
  • Transit passenger at SOQ: include non-reactive Rapid test result 
  • Effective Date: 8 October 2020 – 30 November 2020 

To/from NBX 

 

 

Flight to NBX:  

  • All passengers (Papuan and non-Papuan identity / domicile) must show an Entry Permit signed by the Regent / Regional Secretary / Daily Chairperson of the COVID 19 Task Force for Nabire Regency. For SIM processing, it can be done by family / company / relatives who are in Nabire. 
  • ID/Domicile Non-Papua: must include negative PCR/Swab test result with 7 days validity period  
  • ID/Domicile Papua (KTP/Family Card/Certificate of Domicile) or Letter of Employment/Duty in Papua: include non-reactive rapid test result with 5 days validity period and related document (ID/Family Card/Certificate of Domicile/ Letter of Employment/Duty in Papua) 
  • For passengers whose Rapid / PCR / Swab test results exceed the predetermined time limit, a medical examination will be carried out according to the COVID 19 protocol at the airport and all costs are the responsibility / burden of the passenger concerned 

     

    Flight from NBX: 
  • Non-reactive Rapid Test result with validity period 5 days or negative PCR/Swab Test result with validity period 7 days since published by health facilities.

INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT 

to Jakarta / Surabaya 

 

  

 Entry Requirements to Indonesia in accordance with the provisions of the IATA Travel Center 
 International flight passengers destined to Indonesia who cannot provide negative PCR/Swab test result will be allowed to fly and enter Indonesia, however, the passenger must go through a PCR/Swab test & quarantine procedure by the local authority upon arrival in Indonesia. Information about PCR test upon arrival in Jakarta can be found

to Denpasar 

 

  

 Entry Requirements to Indonesia in accordance with the provisions of the IATA Travel Center 
 Passengers who cannot provide a negative PCR/Swab test result will be allowed to fly to Denpasar/Bali, however, the passenger must go through a PCR/Swab test upon arrival at their own cost at a health facility referred by the local authority & conduct a self-quarantine until the test result is issued

REMARKS: 
  1. At the departure/arrival station passengers might get additional checks from the local authorities and are asked to fill out a form / statement in accordance with local regulations. 
  2. For Connecting Flight, requirement apply based on the requirements of each route / sector. 

    For example, for TKG-CGK-DPS flights, the requirements of each route / sector apply, namely TKG-CGK and CGK-DPS routes / sectors.

C.      Convenient & Safe Travel Information 

  • Verification & Validation of COVID-19 Free Health Certificate 

    For Domestic flights, at some stations Passengers are required to go through a verification & validation process of a COVID-19 Free Health Certificate from the Local Port Health Office or local authorities during departure process. For flights from CGK Passengers must go through the verification & validation process of the CGK Port Health Office Counter at Gate 3 of the CGK Terminal 3 building. 
  • Install PeduliLindungi App 

    Every passenger is required to install the official PeduliLindungi app from the Indonesian government on their phone that can be downloaded on the following links:

  • Apple App Store 
  • Wear Masks Onboard & in Airport Area 

Every passenger is required to put on a mask at the airport and during flight. Garuda Indonesia also urges passengers to prepare their own masks as well as own personal hygiene kits according to their individual needs before the flight. 

 

Passengers must prepare the copies of the required documents before arriving at the airport which will be reported and given to the Check-in Counter staff at the airport during Departure, original documents are kept by the Passengers.Garuda Indonesia is not responsible for any errors or lack of required documents and has the right to cancel passenger flight.
