WATCH: A 5-Minute Trip All Across the 81 Provinces of the Philippines [+ the National Capital Region]
Can’t wait to travel again? Watch this 5-minute video and take a trip all across the 81 provinces of the Philippines.
If you’re like me, you are probably going extremely bored since the lockdown effectively ruined our plans to go backpacking anywhere in the Philippines.
Hopefully the vaccine is on its way. It’s only a matter of time before we put on our hiking shoes or pack our beach wear and swimsuits. We will travel and go backpacking again.
In the meantime, watch this video that takes us on a online stroll through all 81 provinces, as well as the cities, and municipalities of Metro Manila.
In the Philippines, provinces (Tagalog: lalawigan or probinsya) are one of its primary political and administrative divisions. There are 81 provinces at present, which are further subdivided into component cities and municipalities. The local government units in the National Capital Region, as well as independent cities, are independent of any provincial government. Each province is governed by an elected legislature called the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and an elected governor.
The provinces are grouped into seventeen regions based on geographical, cultural, and ethnological characteristics. Thirteen of these regions are numerically designated from north to south, while the National Capital Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, the Southwestern Tagalog Region, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao are only designated by acronyms.
Truly we have a beautiful country - and seeing some of tPhilippine's most stunning locations and cultural heritage in our country’s provinces will definitely inspire us to travel again.
