UPDATE: ARRIVING SEAFARERS AT CLARK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (CRK)

JMG had another meeting with LIPAD Corp. together with OWWA Region 3 last Wednesday, 14 October 2020 wherein the following updates have been made on the OWWA assistance to the seafarers arriving at Clark International Airport (CRK): 

 

1.     OWWA confirmed the assistance extended to seafarers arriving at Clark International Airport as follows:

a.     Hotel (board and lodging);

b.     Transportation from Clark Airport to the hotel/quarantine facility;

c.     RT PCR Test which will be conducted by Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBLMGH) for free to seafarers;

d.     Transporting of seafarers from the hotel/s up to Manila PITX upon release of the negative RT PCR results & BOQ clearance but in limited capacity and by schedule basis;

 

2.     LMAs are:

a.     Still requested to send the mandatory request letter being sent via email to government authorities for the details of the arriving/repatriated seafarers including OWWA Region 3 and LIPAD Corp. if flights are directly arriving at CRK. For diverted flights from Manila to CRK, LMAs can just send the copy of the said request letter to OWWA Region 3 for documentation purposes. OWWA Region 3 email addresses are region3@owwa.gov.ph or clarkrepatsb@gmail.com

b.     LMAs with a large number of repatriated crews or with the capability to transport their seafarers are requested to provide their own transportation upon release of the negative RT PCR results and BOQ Clearance of their respective seafarers.

 

3.     LIPAD will be copy furnished with the communication submitted by LMA to OWWA thru seafarers@lipadcorp.com.
