Taking a holistic approach to well-being will ensure you have engaged and productive people at work. This workshop focuses on equipping participants on up-to-date and evidence-based models on workplace wellbeing. This aims not only to dispel myths surrounding the attainment of personal and collective happiness, but it will also serve as basis for the development of organizational wellness programs informed by science and practice. By attending this workshop, participants will develop comptencies to critically evaluate and mindfully deliberate on information and practices surrounding personal and corporate wellness.

Day 1:

  • Setting effective goals and plans
  • Implementing your plans
  • Evaluating your program

Day 2: 

A. An integrated approach to workplace mental health and wellbeing

  • Preventing harm
  • Managing illness
  • Promoting the Positive

B. Preventing Harm: Developing steps in addressing the mental health crisis

  • Recognizing the signs of employees at risk
  • Developing a workplace crisis response protocol

C. Managing Illness: Developing steps in the prevention and management of workplace mental health concerns

  • Identifying sources of stress in the workplace
  • Promoting skills in the management and prevention of stress and burnout among employees

Day 3: 

A. Promoting the Positive: Developing steps to achieve organizational and individual well-being

  • Identifying Positive Workplace outcomes
  • Achieving employee well-being
  • Developing conducive workplace conditions

B. Integration: Taking the initial steps in creating your own or improving your existing workplace mental health programs

Resource Speaker

Dr. Niรฑo Jose Mateo is an associate professor at De La Salle University (DLSU), Manila, Philippines. Doc Niรฑo completed his PhD in Counseling Psychology (with high distinction) at DLSU and his BA and MA Psychology degrees at the University of the Philippines, Diliman.

He is a licensed psychologist and registered guidance counselor, placing first at the 2012 licensure board examination for guidance counselors.

Dr. Niรฑo Jose Mateo A practicing clinical psychologist, licensed psychologist, and a registered guidance counselor. He is currently a Director on the Board of the Psychological Association of the Philippines.

Dr. Homer Yabut, RPsy - A registered psychologist who is also active in various community and organizational mental health issues.  He has a  Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and MS Psychology major in Industrial Counseling from De La Salle University.

 

Dr. Rowalt Alibudbud - A Psychiatrist and a diplomate of the Philippine Psychiatric Association.He has been a consultant and a resource person for mental health and addiction projects for various government and non-government agencies. He completed his psychiatry residency at the Philippine General Hospital. At present, he also conducts clinical and development consultancy for mental health and addiction.

Mr. Gerald B. Peรฑaranda, CSIOP, RPsy - A Registered Psychologist who also received his certification from the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP) to specialize in the practice of Industrial /Organizational Psychology. He is faculty in the Psychology Department of De La Salle University

Suzanne Marie D. Roxas MBM, Rpsy - A licensed psychologist with a clinical practice. She is a private practitioner providing services for over 10 years, serving corporate and individual clients in areas of personal development, and organizational development. She is skilled in the identification and management of mental health issues due to trauma.
