All About Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) | Philippine Government Agency for Filipino Seafarers
Free Webinar (Online Seminar): The Maritime Industry Authority (Filipino: Pangasiwaan sa Industriyang Maritima), known by the acronym MARINA is an agency of the Philippine government responsible for integrating the development, promotion and regulation of the maritime industry in the Philippines. Ret. VAdm. Robert Empedrad, Administrator - marina maritime industry authority online appointment, maritime industry authority contact number, marina announcement today, marina sm manila, marina manila, maritime industry authority organizational structure, marina stcw, marina update 2021. The agency handling Filipino seafarers / pinoy seaman - Seafarer’s Identification and Record Book (SIRB), commonly known as “Seaman’s Book,” will be replaced by the Seafarer’s Record Book (SRB) and the Seafarer’s Identification Document (SID). The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) was created on June 1, 1974 with the issuance of Presidential Decree No. 474 to integrate the development, promotion and regulation of the maritime industry in the country. MARINA has jurisdiction over the development, promotion and regulation of all enterprises engaged in the business of designing, constructing, manufacturing, acquiring, operating, supplying, repairing, and/or maintaining vessels, or component parts thereof, of managing and/or operating shipping lines, shipyards, drydocks, marine railways, marine repair ships, shipping and freight forwarding agencies and similar enterprises. VISION STATEMENT: A globally competitive Philippine maritime industry.
Why is it that seafarer will register first to LMA? what if he/she has no LMA yet? However he/she wanted to be vaccinated? If seafarer registered already in MARINA like if he/she has already SRN number, COE/COC, MARINA SID, is these information not enough for your verification? why is it that necessary to go LMA first? Why seafarer can't register directly to MARINA COVID19 vaccination online without passing through LMA?
