How to Properly Fit a Backpack - Video Infographic

Paying attention to how you wear a backpack can help you prevent back and shoulder pain and truly enjoy your adventure.
Once your pack is on, make sure all of the straps are loosened all the way.
So you might want to check each strap first. Well, it's never too late for you to start developing good backpack habits.

Waist straps help to distribute the weight load to the hips, relieving shoulder pressure.

Most of the weight should sit on your hips, so buckle the hip belt first and make sure it is snug across your hip bones.

Adjust the shoulder straps so the backpack is high on your back and the shoulder straps are comfortable on your shoulders.

Guide to Responsible Hammocking - Hammock camping the right way - Animated Video Infographic

Reduce your camping footprint, and swing into your next adventure!

Hammocks are prime examples of a minimum-impact shelter. They require no ground leveling, trenching or staking. When used with a tree-friendly suspension system, hammocks don’t alter the natural environment. And the smaller your camping footprint, the less likely you are to impact plants or wildlife.

Here are the tips for hammock-camping the right way:

Watch Video directly on my Youtube Channel:

1: Use “tree saver” straps. These wide nylon/polyester webbing straps go around the tree to minimize girdling and damage to the bark and cambium layer, which can cause wood-tissue death. Never use anything made from a non-tree-friendly material, such as plastic zip cords. Never hammer or screw anything into trees.

2: Set up hammock camp at least 200 feet from any water source. These riparian areas provide unique plant habitats and communities and are significant in soil stabilization.

3: Look for an established (pre-existing) campsite to set up your hammock. Per Leave No Trace principles: “Good campsites are found, not made. Altering a site is not necessary.” Large hammocking groups should split into smaller groups to prevent unnecessary disturbance. Leave No Trace advises: “Keep campsites small. Focus activity in areas where vegetation is absent.”

Batang Probinsya Ka Ba? Balikan natin yung masasayang larong Pinoy!

Sabi nga sa kantang "Kanlungan"
Panapanahon ang pagkakataon,
Maibabalik ba ang kahapon?

Syempre hindi, past is past - para syang toothpaste, pag nilabas mo na sa tube, di mo na maibabalik.
Pero yung masasayang feelings, pwede mong alalahanin at balik-balikan - sabi nga ni Peter Pan - think happy thoughts and you'll fly!

Pupunta kami dun at mag t-tumbling tumbling.

So dapat learn to enjoy the things while it's there.

Availpro and Fastbooking are continuing in their merger with the appointment of a new CEO. This summer, Pierre-Charles Grob took over as head of the two sister companies, subsidiaries of the AccorHotels group. Before taking up his new position, Pierre-Charles Grob had, since 2014, held the position of Managing Director Asia at Fastbooking, where he developed the presence and reputation of the brand.

"His career in the international hospitality industry, his entrepreneurial profile and his client-oriented culture make him the ideal person to lead the growth of Availpro and Fastbooking and make these two companies a world leader in software publishing for the hotel industry "comments Thibaut Viort, Chief Disruption Officer & Growth Officer at AccorHotels.

New white paper explores parity to personalisation and how they can be used to maximise direct bookings.

Fastbooking, leading-edge e-commerce solutions specialist for independent hotels and regional chains and Triptease, award-winning provider of industry-leading Direct Booking Platform, today announces the release of their joint white paper, "Maximise Conversion by Understanding your Guest." This white paper provides an in-depth view of the Asia Pacific online booking market, based on close analysis of approximately 500 Fastbooking hotel chains. It also aims to help hoteliers to understand the fundamentals of guest behaviour and web optimisation in the Asia Pacific.

This report provides a comprehensive understanding of:
  • The importance of parity
  • Learning from guest behaviour to optimise your website
  • How booking engine conversion rates and booking value are impacted by lead time
  • How guest booking behaviour varies by device

From our findings, hotels in Asia Pacific are undercut 30-40% of the time have a 31% lower rate conversion on their website. That's a huge swathe of revenue missed out if hotels do not tighten up on parity.

Getting familiar with your website performance data is key to the process of optimising your site and driving direct bookings. This will also allow you to tailor compelling content to the guests most likely to convert.

Fastbooking and Triptease will also be sharing best practices to hoteliers on 18 October 2018 @ Google Asia Pacific. Complimentary registration online at www.hoteldigitallab.com/singapore.

About the Blogger

Yodi Insigne
Yodi de Veas Insigne is one of those delusional sorts who imagines himself a useful contributor to the greater blogosphere (Well, that's what he's trying to accomplish).

He started blogging for three reasons:

1. He always felt he has something important to say,
2. Books can make him cry, and cliff jumping can make him high,
3. He want to sleep at night.

He is a self-certified bookworm, travel junkie, shutterbug, movie freak, Mangyan hiker who sleeps a lot and think a lot. He got a little vice, which is black coffee and cashew nuts. He got colorblindness on yellow and green - and he freaking loves it!
